The vacuum feeder is a kind of dust free closed pipeline conveying equipment that transports particles and powder materials through dry vacuum suction. It uses the pressure difference between vacuum and environmental space to form the gas flow in the pipe and drive the movement of powder materials, thus completing the transportation of powder.
Vacuum transportation is of closed pipeline transportation, which can eliminate dust pollution, improve working environment, and reduce pollution of environment and personnel on materials to improve cleanliness; Due to the pipeline transportation, it occupies little space and can convey powder in limited space, improving space efficiency ; At the same time, vacuum conveying can reduce the labor intensity and improve the work efficiency; therefore, it’s the first choice of most powder material transportation.
The vacuum feeder is composed of a vacuum pump (oil-free and water free), a vacuum hopper, a filter (multiple choices of polyester membrane filter, PE filter, 316L stainless steel filter or titanium metal filter), a compressed air blowback device, a pneumatic discharge door device, an automatic control device of material level, a stainless steel suction nozzle, a conveying hose, etc.
The vacuum feeder uses a vacuum pump to pump air, so that the inlet of the suction nozzle and the whole system are in a certain vacuum state. The powder particles are sucked into the nozzle along with the outside air to form a material flow, which reaches the hopper through the suction pipe, where the gas and material are separated. The separated materials enter the receiving equipment. Feeding/discharging is completed by continuously opening and closing the pneumatic three-way valve, while the opening and closing of the pneumatic three-way valve are controlled by the circulating time relay.
The vacuum feeding machine is equipped with a compressed air blowback device. Each time the material is placed, the compressed air pulse blowback filters the bag to knock down the powder adsorbed on the bag surface to ensure the normal operation of the material suction.
At present, there are three kinds of material convey methods commonly used in common enterprises: manual handling, mechanical conveying and pneumatic conveying.
● Manual handling
Manual handling is the most primitive and simple form of material transportation in China. Its advantage is simple operation principle, easy cleaning, strong visibility, and convenient control: the disadvantages are that it requires a lot of labor, involves transfer equipments, and takes large space, and has low efficiency, low automation program and poor continuity.
● Mechanical conveying
Now commonly used mechanical conveying mainly includes belt conveyor and bucket elevator. The advantages of belt conveying are large conveying capacity and low requirements for materials; The disadvantages are that it cannot be closed or completely closed, takes up large space, makes a lot of noise, has many rotating parts, and is complex to maintain.
The advantage of the elevator is that it can be closed to a certain extent and features large feeding capacity per time; The disadvantages are that the material can not be continuously fed, resulting in low automation level; in addition, large space is occupied, operation is sophisticated, and maintenance is complex.
● Pneumatic conveying
Vacuum transportation is a kind of pneumatic transportation. Compared with other transportation methods, vacuum transportation has the following advantages:
*Completely enclosed transportation avoids dust and fundamentally eliminates the influence of the outside on materials.
*Simple structure, easy to disassemble and clean.
*The interior is smooth without dead corners and material residues, meeting the national requirements for drugs, food and military industry.
*Few moving parts, simple operation & maintenance and low cost.
*High degree of automation, easy to form automatic production process with upstream and downstream equipment.
*The power is diversified. The vacuum pump can be used as the power source, or the compressed air generated by the existing air compressor can be used as the power source.
*It is beautiful and neat, which plays a good role in improving the corporate image.
*It has low noise and small vibration, with little impact on upstream and downstream equipment is small.
